How to keep it looking new
Your tee is heavyweight garment-dyed cotton with a printed graphic. Both parts last a long time if you do these five things.
- Wash it alone the first time. Garment-dyed fabric can release a little excess dye on its first wash. One wash on its own and it is done.
- Cold water. Hot water is what shrinks cotton and dulls dye.
- Inside out. This keeps the print from rubbing against everything else in the drum — the single biggest cause of cracking.
- Tumble dry low, or hang it. High heat is hard on both the fabric and the print.
- No bleach, no fabric softener, and don't iron the print. If you must iron, turn it inside out and press around the graphic.
About fading
Garment-dyed shirts soften and settle with wear — that is the point of them. What you should not see is the print cracking or the color going patchy. If that happens within 30 days, email us a photo and we will replace it free — no need to send anything back.
